I grew up at the beach, LBI, where everybody surfed and lived for the waves in a small woodsy, waterfront town in south Jersey. 
At 17, I left for college at FIT in NYC and worked in the fashion industry for 15+ years as a Celebrity Fashion Stylist traveling everywhere including Paris, London and Milan(where I studied fashion business and international trade). 

My Fashion career began in NYC in the high end luxury designer fashion market as a Celebrity Fashion Stylist + Director.                                                   I started out as Fashion Stylist for Nordstrom for the NorthEast Coast Region for many years and then went on to create my own NYC based Event Design+ Styling  company where I designed, hosted, styled, produced and created large scale luxury fashion projects + events, fashion editorials, and fashion shows.

My high end luxury fashion clients included The Academy Awards (The Oscars) The Emmys, Vogue magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, W magazine, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstrom, Jimmy Choo, The Mall at Short Hills, Riverside Square, Garden State Plaza and many, many more. 

For over a decade I was the Celebrity Stylist + Host exclusively for The Mall at Short Hills. 

My longstanding fashion career was working as Celebrity Fashion Stylist for clients where I attended the red carpet at The Academy Awards(Oscars), People Magazine + People Stylewatch, Katy Perry, O, the Oprah Magazine, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus,   MTV(on air MTVaward shows, Rich Girls + more) Bloomingdales, W magazine, The View, and 100's of other media outlets, magazines + retailers. 

I have also spent most of my fashion + design career as “On Air talent” appearing on TV networks including CBS, ABC, FOX, BRAVO, MTV, The View and more. 

In 2008, I founded and created BOHO magazine  (yep I started this crazy BOHO trend back in 2008!) . We won the Aveda Award- for the #1 Best New Magazine of the Year, it was a sustainable organic fashion magazine that was all about my love of fashion by the beach and of the city that only featured charitable companies.It was sold in 37 countries, Barnes + Noble, Whole Foods, Target and everywhere! Boho became a household name after that.

Finally in NYC, I started my own design company and fashion brand. My first collection was featured on the main stage runways at prestigious NYFW (New York Fashion Week). My fashion brand was socially conscious + became part of the “United Nation’s Conscious Fashion Campaign” and I was selected as one of the “UN’s Women of Impact” for my fashion business. We also won an award as “Top Small Business in NYC”.

I also created a movement of DREAMERS, where I authored several books to help people design their own dreams, book titles include :Designing Your Dream, Follow Your Dream, Fashioned, and Dream Daily. Follow Gina on IG @GinaLaMorte 

In the last month of the craziest covid year of 2020 I had a dream at night about continuing my “BOHO” story and bring it back to the beach (we are celebrating our 6th YEAR in business!).
i wanted to be closer to my family, so I took my Mom out of her home design + artist career and we opened our first location brick and mortar store BOHO BEACH. Even though I started the name BOHO back in 2008 I knew the beach was my forever lifestyle and love, so I created Boho Beach for all of us free spirit creatives who can't live without the beach, + want to live that beach lifestyle (even if they don't live there full time) It's time to relax, breathe and chill at BOHO BEACH.
